Despite this there was still some preservation of the wall left a stark white reminicant of the desolate and deprived East Berlin it once overlooked. This is one of the few areas of the wall which has tried to remain unchanged over the changing course of history. This one sold white wall is incredibly striking when a few steps to the other side of the wall in a plethera of colours, vibrancy and self expression.

The Leake Street Arches is a collection of arches under Waterloo Station which hold London's longest legal graffiti wall. There is such a huge amount of self expression all contained in the street. It is about 300 metres long, runs off York Road and under the platforms and tracks of Waterloo station. I want to photograph the artists at work as I love the whole mystery of graffiti artists who have a mystery surrounded with them like Banksy who is a kind of urban myth with his identity known by some but largely kept as a secret.
